Background

I started out in the NHS as a psychiatric social worker, in Adult Psychiatry at St Georges Teaching Hospital’s therapeutic community. I worked 1-1, with couples and in groups to bring about positive behaviour change. This experience fired my career long passion to motivate and build confidence.

When I left the NHS to become a self-employed facilitator and assertivness trainer, I invseted in further professional development broadening my portfolio to include Gestalt organisational development and coaching., I set up my communication Consultancy Two Way Talking in 1991. My focus was  on personal growth and leadership development. I worked in the public, not-for-profit and SME sectors. 

In 1993 I added mediation to my portfolio and throughout the 90s, a period of expansion in legally aided mediation, I was invited to join the board of the FMA (Family Mediators Association) and was closely involved in rolling out mediation services in the North East for the then, Legal Services Commission. During that time I trained, supervised and assessed mediators and consulted to law firms helping them set up their own mediation practices.

When I relocated to London in 2004 I continued to coach but now in the corporate sector undertaking an advanced executive coaching qualification with the Academy of Executive Coaching and am now a full-time executive coach. I work with individuals and am on the coaching panels of several large organisations including SaId Business School. I provide 1-1 coaching, tailored packages for leaders of hybrid teams and mediation services.
