1-1 Coaching

I have upwards of 1800 hrs of coaching experience helping clients in the business, government and not for profit sectors. My focus is always on who they are and the future that inspires them, which provides the context for our work. When clients are truly seen and acknowledged, their transformative courage and resourcefulness will naturally surface.

What to expect

Chemistry session - following a self referral or one made by someone in your organisation, we will have a 1-1 conversation, usually around an hour where we will explore whether we are a good fit. You may decide to go ahead with coaching but even if you don’t you will get value from just having the conversation. Either party can ask any questions that seem relevant and, time permitting we can formulate some coaching goals and measures of success.

If your organisation is paying - If you decide you would like to take the next step I will write a proposal we will arrange a 3-way session with your line manager to see if they have anything they want to add or question. Clarifying the purpose of the coaching at this point can be invaluable in ironing out any misunderstandings.

If you are paying for yourself - the involvement of the line manager is optional.

A coaching assignment - Coaching assignments typically last between 6 and 12 months depending on the degree of challenge involved. Some clients, often the more senior ones, retain the services of a coach as a helpful sounding board in what is often an isolated position.

Personal Branding - I will identify and work with your personal brand early on in the work we do, and we will regularly refer to it to confirm whether a plan of action sits comfortably with it. My aim is for you to own and celebrate who you can’t help being.

Challenge - Changing habitual behaviour is always challenging and there will often be setbacks. When they occur, we will work together in a creative partnership to find effective ways of overcoming them.

Fun - As a rule, I have found the more fun you are having in a coaching session the more creative and resourceful you become.

I have successfully worked with clients who wanted to:

  • successfully manage and motivate hybrid teams

  • effectively chair meetings, including boards

  • transform difficult relationships
